Something isn't right
I'm back from the holiday, with an impressive lack of broken limbs, despite skiing Friday night in the dark. You'd think that "night skiing" would be accompanied by some flood-lighting, but obviously not.
Anyway, just here to share something that has been bugging me – shops in airports. Many of them I can understand, but surely trying to sell people suitcases in an airport is rather pointless? If I'm at an airport, chances are I'm either
- Travelling with luggage (in which case I have a suitcase already)
- Travelling without luggage (in which case I don't need one and buying one would be a pointless waste of money, not to mention the fact that I would now have an empty suitcase to check in), or
- Meeting/saying goodbye to someone (in which case I wouldn't be venturing into the airport far enough to find the shop).
Who's with me on this?
You're right – the only reason I can think of is for people who are coming back from holiday, and now have too much stuff. Or for people who plan to buy too much stuff. Or people who just bought up the whole duty free and now need to check it in… you get the idea!
