But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses. Jeremiah 10:12-13 NIV

Completed my technical paper today. Well, JUST :) Emailed it to my supervisor and see what he thinks. He wants a high impact journal to send to. But shall see. I pray that it is better than just good enough for journal publication. Last resort would be conference proceedings. Ive worked on the paper since about 2 weeks ago. Glad its all done now. Will read more and improve it, maybe.
But according to my plan, I will have my reading day tomorrow (units, damping). Will sort out the resources today and see what I can achieve tomorrow. But all in God’s hands. In Jesus’ name!!!!!!!!!!!

Gosh.. only Gwen Stefani can rip a sample of The Sound of Music catalogue and turn it into such a cool tune. Haha her new single Wind it Up is sooo super fun ( taken a sample of the yodel song)

It has been very busy 2 days into this week. But praise God, I finally managed to collect useful, not perfect but sound, statistical data to support my findings. I think I’m still recovering from wearing such a heavy thinking cap since 2 weeks ago. So today, I was planning to do work from home but I ended up surfing the net, stuffing me face with grubs and loittering about in my sleeping outfit :) Ive not said hi to my faithful shower yet. Maybe later before I head off to the CU meeting and French class after.
I’ve not completed my technical paper yet. Hope it will be good enough for a journal publication. If not a conference proceeding will do. Will include my statistical analysis into the solution and results section. My other sections need editing esp. the mathematical equations, etc. I’m yet to use a proper tool to write them. But In Jesus’ name, I pray that my findings so far are good enough for a PhD and hope that the further works that come out from them would lead to more major breakthroughs!! Amen!!! I planned out the rigour from tomorrow onwards till June next year. Men can only plan, but God will decide!! Man proposes, heaven disposes. So am sure everything will be done in God’s time and plan.
Gosh this time next month, Ill be in malaysia sipping tea by the roadside while basking in the sun. But then again, this time in Malaysia, its 9.53 PM haha so maybe I will bask in the moonlight :)
Anyway, below is a pic of me at a friend’s friend’s house for EID lunch.

A lot of drama on the research front these past few days (since last week). Computer programs threw tantrums, my immune system went gaga, the left side of my brain went blahhh on maths… the world seemed to be closing down on me (seriously) Who do you go to when your in such a low? God, of course (as you do!!)
On Sunday, I re-surrendered everything to God. Sometimes you couldn’t help but try to take control of everything. But hey God’s way is higher!! On Monday I had a breakthrough with my statistical data. Amen!! My units were all jumbled up but managed to standardise them and now the statistical data is better. Then Tuesday came! Still elated from the breakthrough a day earlier, I went clueless when my recalculation of the biological data went wrong. I was so confused with the formula. Am still a bit confused :)
Took note of any issues in the midst of all the confusions. Will sort them out later. Rushed to the students cell group at church to have a good break from work. It was brilliant.
Waking up this morning was the hardest. Had a good pray in bed. Opened my bible and a verse jumped out:
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16: 3
God is wonderful!! A good start to my day.
I planned to collect the statistical data today. Collected some and did some analysis. Some were pretty good. There were some anomalies. Will need to explain the discrepancies later. Now everything is in my thumbdrive. Will sort everything out tomorrow. Was at the Christian Union meeting today. It was so refreshing. It would have been an extra good end to my day if I didn’t have to leave early for my French class at 630.
Thursday will be my writing-up day! Am sure God will give me wisdom and inspiration for my technical paper.
Now am at home watching the Apprentice :)

Ive been near to idle in the past 2 weeks. Annoying it might have been but I did have a good rest… too much rest to be exact. Now am back on track, catching up with piles of work I could have completed in the last 2 weeks. Well, at least I have repented.. not much damage done.
Starting on my technical paper today. Managed to write a one page introduction describing the background of my experiment and explaining briefly what my findings are. Have done the skeleton of the other sections. Added some comments here and there to remind my scatterbrain brain :) Will continue on the next section which will describe the existing techniques on which my methods are based, the issues and the gap that needs filling. I think of including a section on further works but am a bit concern about intellectual properties. I dont want people to read them and nick me ideas before I submit my thesis (that will be by April 2008 hopefully). Anyway, will consult my supervisor once Ive completed the paper. Above all, I thank God for the wisdom and inspiration. Am sure He is guiding me now!!!!
Anyway, apart from getting a one nite of fame at JumpinJaks ( well only a few minutes haha), Ive been on an urgent search for the bag that Ive been wanting to buy since like.. a month ago. The bag is apparently missing in action. Not meant to be!! Ah well. I might even fall in love with another bag in the future!! haha Hope it’s not a rebounce.
Was at my mate’s house party on Saturday which was 80% latino :)) The party slowly evolved from house hip hop to salsa escapades in the kitchen. It was a good party. Got home late in the morning. Missed church but had a good time watching Spring harvest (Songs of praise) on the telly.
My aim this week:
i) complete first draft of paper
ii) collect the statistical data and the visual shots
iii) start further works on my new method
In Jesus’ name, God’s will be done. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daily Manna from the ‘Net – Tuesday, October 10, 2006
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such ‘wisdom’ does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure ; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. James 3:13-18 NIV
