Bruges Brugge
It was such a long journey from Caledonian Road, London to Bruges, Belgium. But we reached it finally in the end. True to it’s reputation as the Venice of the north, the heart of the city revolves around the canal system (or is it the river :) ) There were chocolate parlours everywhere. Thou I’m not a big fan of sweets, I ended up buying quite a lot. Mostly dark chocolate. My mates will be estatic :) The most exciting part of the visit was the boat trip which only costed us 5.70 Euro perperson. I took some photos and they are in the gallery: Bruges Gallery.
We ended the day in Bruges by indulging in a huge pot of mussels cooked in white wine. It was fabulous. The trip back to London was a nightmare. The sea was a bit rough and the ferry trip made many fell ill. Stuffs at the drink counter fell all over the floor. It was rather frightening!! Thank God that we reached Dover safely.
Now I’m back in Coventry safe and sound. The long birthday weekend was indeed interesting. I had good company and had wonderful food that matched my big appetite haha
Hope that this break will inspire me to do more work this coming months. Not sure when would I have my next break but all in God’s plan!!!!!
