PhD…where am I at???
Have been up to nothing incredibly outstanding on the research front… Managed to rephrase my research question today as well as the intermediate questions that would somehow act as vital milestones. I'm yet to complete my comparative analysis, which will not only answer the first intermediate research question but will also act as the soul of my yet-to-materialise paper. The conference paper has to be put on hold last week. My cousin was here and we had a blast!!
Hmm God speed some inspiration!!!!!! I need some motivation and inspiration!!! I hope to come up with some substance for the paper. I've got the framework. I just need the drive… at the moment… hmmm too comfortable for my own goodddd…. Ok I promise .. next week… I ll get it done!!! If not I wont be expecting any gifts from Santa this year!! Tsk :(
HMMM… Interesting

"You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels' questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don't use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score."
Compared to guys in the same age group , the results are as follows:
You scored higher than 25% on Beginner
You scored higher than 40% on Intermediate

Where I went wrong???
1. The "You and I" and "You and me".. ive just realised my mistake as I didnt bother to look at the sentence properly.
>>You and I should go to the city. (I should go to the city)
>>He is going to the city with you and me. (He is going to the city with me)
2. Hung or Hanged
>>hanged – v. past tense of hang; to suspend by the neck until dead
>>hung – v. past tense of hang; to fasten from above with no support from below
Hence, Hanged is used when referring to death by hanging. Hung is used in all other senses of the word. (hmm never used Hanged before, but I know it was correct but I thought that hung is acceptable as well..haha)
3. A while, Awhile or For awhile
Because the word awhile is an adverb, it cannot be used in a prepositional phrase. "for awhile" would be incorrect. Since while is a noun, it can be used with or without the preposition for. Therefore, all three are correct. (Changed this one back from All to For awhile.. still it was confusing but now I know… cool)
4. Whomever or Whoever
Whom is always used when it is the object of a preposition. Who is used as a suject and when a pronoun such as I or he could replace who. Here is an easy little trick to differentiate between who and whom: Replace the questionable word with he or him. If you would replace it with he, use who. If you would replace it with him, use whom
5. Thought that Phenomena and Phenomenon are both singular.
>>phenomena – n. plural of phenomenon
>>phenomenon – n. an occurrence, circumstance, or fact that is perceptible by the senses

Mariah.. you go gerr!!!
- Title:
- Rating:
Being a fan of the ever so clueless Mariah since her first ever album, I'm utterly happy that she makes it back to the top of her game. Being the best selling female artist in 2005 proves that in what ever situations you're in, you just have to believe that God will bring you through. She did it and it is very inspirational.
This new edition of the multi-platinum album includes 4 new unreleased songs. Don't forget about us – uses the same We belong together formula and hey, who's complaining!! Making it last shows that Mariah can still groove like her Fantasy era.
Ive bought the first release of this LP but I will get this one as well.
