'Hazard' lights?
As far as I can remember, hazard lights are to be used:- When your car breaks down or you’re involved in an accident
- To warn other drivers that there’s an accident ahead that they may not have seen
They are NOT supposed to be used as an excuse for dangerous or illegal parking. It is particularly irritating, I find, when you can’t see that both indicator lights are flashing and thus you assume that the person is indicating to pull out in front of you!
Rant, rant, rant!
Fog lights when it’s blatently a beautiful sunny day (or even just when it’s not foggy)

Additionally indicated by flashing your headlights at other vehicles, which can also be interpreted as:
- Stop! You’re about to crash into me.
- Go!... Go! Go!
- Your headlights are stuck on full beam
- Your headlights are not working
- Wake up, you dozy b*gger
- Morning, vicar!
Who’d have thought that so much information could be so easily conveyed by the simple act of flashing one’s headlights?

Same rant with the horn as well – it’s used far too often and is very confusing on a busy road especially at a junction – you panic and think ‘are they honking me? What have I done? oh no!’ when actually it’s probably some other muppet several cars away from you who is the one the original honker is referring to.
But yes, unnecessary hazarding is annoying. Good rantage Miss Nicholson!
