Oh, the hypocrisy!

On Saturday morning I was, for the first time in months, reclining is a lazy manner in front of the TV. I was watching a programme about recovering alcoholics; following their rehabilitation and return to their normal lives.

One of the guys featured had a wife and children and had been drinking heavily for over 20 years. The programme included an interview with his wife who spent several minutes talking about how the man had ruined their family and made their children's lives a misery. She said that the threat of him potentially killing himself as a result of his drinking had been a cloud hovering over them for years… and she said all this whilst taking frequent drags on a cigarette!!! So obviously she's not doing their children any harm by smoking in the house and potentially shortening her life by years as a result of HER habit?
