Enjoyed the Compton Verney project, it was quite a journey. Found the subject of fruit quite inspiring but then crashed slightly when we could not find lots of varieties of art displaying fruit suitable for KS1.
Found lots of programme ideas based on fruit and found it quite hard to whittle down to 6 1 hour sessions, but happy that there is flexibility by using the alternative ideas.
We worked hard on producing materials, MTP, lesson plans, powerpoint and research component, especially when trying to keep theme tightly linked with CV. By thursday, we were a little short with each other, trying to get it to gel and link together well but the misery was well worth it. Friday's presentation felt comfortable and appropriate to us, but who knows what was really expected. Anyway, we left elated.
As for blogging, I put it off until now as I felt I needed to focus on the project in hand. Happy to reflect now it's over - I worry that my feelings during the difficult periods might inflame the situation, not help.
Like the idea of blogging over assignments or maybe placements, but will heads be down concentrating on the concrete work again rather than reflecting?
