Pimpin'

I just wanted to pimp some cool blogs to you crazy kids.

First up, Tony Pierce's guide to blogging. A bit like Dan's guide in that it is funny and cool.

But generally anything on Tony Pierce's blog is ace. Also:

www.raymitheminx.com

Her blog is amazing and always makes me laguh. Also, for those who want something political.

www.matthewgood.org

Also an amazing singer. I suggest you get a hold of some of his stuff from somewhere.

Also, in Raymi's favour, she links to maddox on her blog, and he is cool, no doubt.

OK, we're done. I hope you enjoy some of that crap.

  2. Woah, do you have some sort of bot that crawls the web looking for all mentions of Tony Pierce? Anyway, no problem :)

I'm glad MG's blog focuses 99% on events, it's quite a switch from the manifesto days, but it's quite welcome.

  4. I have to say that I preffered the manifestos really. My… err…. apathy? Is that the right word? kinda means that its sometimes diffucult to take in everything thats going on, but then it seems like a lot of people lots of people like Matt's music for it's political message… I guess I'm probably in the minority in that respect. There was always a message there, no doubt about it but maybe it was less political back in the MGB days? What do you reckon?

I'm not sure it's for better or worse really, I love both, but in a sense I consider them very different. As I see it, Matt isn't really goona top Beautiful Midnight, but then it is always up for debate what the best Matt Good Band album is. It seems like there was a much more solid feel to all the MGB stuff, I mean, all the MGB albums are broadly similar in style, but when you look at Avalanche and WLRRR there is quite a different style there. Looking at what he said in his blog the other day, unless he was talking about the Greatest Hits, then it sounds like they're taking a more WLRRR approach to the new album, which I have to say is I prefer to Avalanche.
