Introducing me…..

Hello!

A Venezia!

My name is Rowan Chidgey and I live in North Devon, England but am currently staying on the University of Warwick campus.

I am currently a Postgraduate student studying for an MA in International Design and communication at Warwick University. I plan to pursue a career in Advertising.

From this MA, I hope to get a thorough insight into the Design Industries, particularly the creative sphere of the business. The placement and case study I think will be particularly beneficial in that it will allow me to integrate into a Design Business and conduct my own research project within that company. Ive always had an interest in the creativity involved in attracting a growing consumer society to particular products. In my final year as an undergraduate I managed the marketing for ‘Rendition’, a dance show at the Warwick Art’s Centre involving 9 dance societies and 250 people. In preparing and designing fliers, programmes and tshirts I realised the necessities involved in attracting students (particularly disinterested boys!) around campus to buy tickets for a dance show. Our greatest form of advertising was having dancers roaming the union at the busy event Top Banana in their ‘Rendition’ tshirts which were bright orange, engaging in discussions with other students and handing out fliers. Luckily all the hard work paid off as our dance show was sold out…phew!

My interests include dancing (Jazz, tap, ballet, salsa), skiing, art and travel.

Here is a quick outline of my skills/qualifications:
