The warm weather in February 2019

accumulated_day-degrees_2019.pdf

February 2019 has been very warm. This table uses accumulated day-degrees above a base of 4.4°C to compare the weather this year with 2018.

The day-degree forecast for willow-carrot aphid has been used as an example and, at present, predictions suggest that the willow-carrot aphid would arrive in crops about a week earlier than in 2018.
