Pest update from Wellesbourne

These are the numbers of insects captured since Friday, 22nd May.

Yellow water traps (3)

  • 4 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
  • 8 bean seed fly
  • 14 flea beetles
  • 1845 pollen beetles
  • 31 cabbage stem weevil
  • 1 cabbage seed weevil
  • 0 cabbage stem flea beetle

Sticky traps for carrot fly (3)

  • 56 flies

Pheromone traps - 2 per species

  • Diamond-back moth 0
  • Silver Y moth 0
  • Turnip moth (cutworm) 7

1 cabbage root fly egg on 15 cauliflower plants.
