Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between 25th and 28th September our 3 yellow water traps captured:

  • Cabbage root flies - 27 male and 13 female
  • Bean seed flies - 17
  • Pollen beetles - 6
  • Flea beetles - 85
  • Cabbage stem weevil - 2
  • Cabbage seed weevil - 0
  • Cabbage stem flea beetle - 10

We caught no carrot flies on 3 sticky traps in our second sowing of carrots.

There were no diamond-back moths, no silver Y moths, no cabbage moths and no turnip moths in our pheromone traps (2 traps per pest).

There were 3 cabbage root fly eggs around our 15 brassica plants.
