Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between Friday (9th) and Tuesday (13th) we captured:

• 742 carrot flies on traps in this year's crop of carrots (3 traps)

In the 3 water traps in the old swede crop:

• 30 male and 14 female cabbage root flies
• 386 bean seed flies
• 20 pollen beetles
• 1 flea beetle

We collected a total of 98 cabbage root fly eggs from around 15 cauliflower plants (planted 15 April). We have also set up 3 water traps there now and they caught:

• 17 male and 21 female cabbage root flies
• 232 bean seed flies
• 5 pollen beetles
• 2 flea beetles

We caught 1 silver Y moth (2 traps.)
