Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between Friday and today we caught:

On 3 sticky traps:

  • 40 carrot flies

In 3 water traps in a plot of swedes.

  • 80 male cabbage root flies and 21 females
  • 24 bean seed flies
  • 49 pollen beetles
  • 45 flea beetles
  • 7 cabbage stem weevils
  • 3 cabbage stem flea beetles

We also recovered 1 cabbage root fly eggs from the soil around 15 cauliflower plants (new plants).

We caught 1 silver Y moth in our pheromone traps.
