Pest update from Wellesbourne

These are the numbers of insects captured between 29th September and 2nd October.

Yellow water traps (3)

  • 23 male and 4 female cabbage root fly
  • 9 bean seed fly
  • 35 cabbage stem weevil
  • 1 cabbage seed weevil
  • 3 flea beetle
  • 1 pollen beetle
  • 2 cabbage stem flea beetle

Sticky traps for carrot fly (3)

  • 175 carrot fly

Pheromone traps - 2 per species

  • Diamond-back moth 0
  • Silver Y moth 0
  • Turnip moth (cutworm) 0

10 cabbage root fly eggs on 15 cauliflower plants
