I never thought I'd say this but…
…I LOVE the World Cup!
The tube was almost empty in rush hour tonight – empty seats and everything. There were 3 other people at the gym and the usual sweaty haze had dispersed. The supermarket was deserted. Peace descended upon the streets of London and there was much rejoicing on the part of Ros.
Go EnGRRRRRland you crazy things – here's hoping you go on to victory after glorious victory and keep everyone out of my way.
Personally, I was gutted that Trinidad lost to England. It was a close run thing and I would have revelled in the faces of England fans if 'Ingurrllandd' were to be anhilated by a little country like Trinidad and Tobago.
It was an unconvoncing victory from an unconvincing country. England? Nothing to do with me, guv.

Hear hear Fair Rosalind! I couldn't agree with you more. London is a glorious right now. I almost (ALMOST!) wish Sweden would go out so I don't have to care at all any more.

My desire for England to get through to the final is purely a selfish one – half–empty train / gym and the peace of mind this temporarily entails not to be sniffed at.

Oh I know it's purely selfish. The only reason for me wanting England to do well is so I get to use the bench press when I want
