I wholeheartedly support Mrs Reid's actions; I find it absolutely disgusting that houses are still demolished to make way for building projects, and I can think of no better way to get that point across.
It is an archaic and irrational process, and I seriously worry about the mental state of anyone who thinks it's a good idea to demolish someone's home for something as frivolous as fucking football or a damned supermarket.

A few of my housemates and I decided to have a barbeque last night, for reasons that are unlikely to be made clear at this point. We set off to Tesco in the car in search of some form of instant barbeque, and something to put on it. I made the point that barbeques would probably be in the seasonal aisle in the Summer. I was proved right; Tesco had no barbeques. We gave up on that idea and bought a few general supplies since we were there (Tesco Finest Hot Cross Buns are very, very nice).
So, that was my excitement for the day. Well, that and losing at poker…

…alway check your receipt:
I've just been to Tesco (well, about an hour ago) and bought 6 strawberry Fruit Corners (they were on offer; 6 for £2, saving 28p) but when I checked my receipt I noticed that they came through as full price.
I queried this, and when the manager got back from cheching he said that the offer had expired 50 minutes earlier – at midnight – but they would still honour the offer since the labels were still out.
What he actually did was just to refund one of the yogurts, at 38p each, meaning I saved an extra 10p!
Somehow BFGOF just doesn't have the same ring to it as the classic BOGOF…

I decided, since it was late, I wasn't going to call at Tesco on my way home; I was just going to go straight home.
I left Tesco with a big bag of clementines and 3 strawberry fruit corners.
On a related topic, cycling uphill against a strong wind with a large bag of clementines and a heavy laptop on your back is not easy.

I went to Tesco to buy 3 Strawberry Fruit Corners (they're on offer)
I left Tesco with: 3 Strawberry Fruit Corners, a large bag of Clementines, a pre–packed sandwich, 2 5–packs of Mini Battenbergs, and a block of cheese.
Still, I shall enjoy them…
