In the latest Top Gear, Richard Hammond demonstrated a new Lexus' ability to park itself. All present appeared to be wowed and amazed.
Yes it's impressive, but I do feel it necessary to point out that the Toyota Prius, the first production car to feature this ability, has been able to do it since about 2004. I even test drove a Prius myself late last year, 90% to try out the Intelligent Parking Assist and 10% to see it the car itself was any good...
Now I know I'm talking about a lowly hybrid car and Top Gear had a flash Lexus, but the point still stands...

XP has been playing up something dreadful this evening, so this really appeals to me right now...

You've cancelled Top Gear for Snooker. Why? Surely a programme that is under near constant criticism by the media doesn't make it to 10 seasons by being unpopular. I think Top Gear is one of the best programmes made in Britain at the moment and absolutely will not accept that snooker achieves even the merest fraction of an iota of a crumb of a percentage of the ratings and following that Top Gear has.
The practice of replacing perfectly good, and absolutely fantastic, regular programmes with utter rubbish like ephemeral sporting events is archaic, irrational, nonsensical, and stems from TVs infancy when there wasn't enough time in the day for one channel to fit everything in.
So why not do everyone a favour and create "BBC Pointless-Crap-That-No-One-Cares-About" for things like snooker, football, and any other upstart rubbish deluded enough to think itself superior to any other programme on TV today (yes, inferior even to that human cesspit that is Channel 4's "Big Brother").
Someone who wishes you'd see sense.

Nintendo have just updated the Wii’s firmware to allow support for USB keyboards. Finally I can type quickly on my Wii!
I decided the best way to celebrate this was to type some continuous prose. Hence this blog entry, coming to you live from my Wii.
So, as the saying goes, “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”. We would all do well to remember the lessons that teaches us…
Best... eBay auction... ever.

Sonic the Hedgehog is going to be a playable character in the new Smash Brothers! Woo hoo!
I bet his Final Smash is Super Sonic...
I was just watching something that mentioned the recent Northern Rock "panic", and it reminded me: I wish I'd heard about it sooner, because I would have loved to go to my nearest branch, join the lengthy queue, get to the front, and say to the cashier, "Hello. I'd like to open an account, please."

One important line is the one way down at the very bottom:
The new law brings Britain in line with an EU directive on the retention of phone data.
I mean, why? What's the point? Is there a point?
