Cliffhangers

Follow-up to To be continued… from The randomness of tomorrow, today!

I hate cliffhangers.
It's always when it gets interesting!
I want to know what he was going to say, dammit!!!
Bastards…

No you fool!

I find the Roman Numeral IIII very annoying. As far as I know, as soon as you reach 3 numerals, you start subtracting from the next one, thus is goes I, II, III, IV, not IIII. I'm pretty sure that no numeral appears more than III 3 times, apart from M because there's nothing above it…

It just gets on my nerves and I wish people wouldn't do it…

A message to all the people who've been horrible to me…

(I should point out, before we start, that these people aren't at Warwick; none of this is directed at any of you wonderful bloggers, nor is it directed at any bloggers who don't feel they fit into 'wonderful bloggers')

Following a conversation I had last night, I decided I wanted to say something to all the people who've been horrible to me in my lifetime (excuse the occasional use of strong language):

I've decided that I don't care what you think anymore. I'm not going to live my life feeling bad about myself because of how you made me feel. You are all worthless pieces of shit who only bullied people because you were too pathetic and useless to find fulfilment in life other than through the suffering of others. You mean less than nothing to me. Bastards!

On a lighter note, there's one of the new Rolls–Royce Phantoms parked outside my house; you know, the one with the umbrella in the door (the car, not the house). It's a very impressive looking vehicle. Huge, too…

You know you're bored, have stayed up too late, and have no black whiteboard pen when…

Follow-up to It's because you're an idiot, that's why… from The randomness of tomorrow, today!

Crash Logo, in whiteboard marker

This was around 6am…

This is ridiculous…

Follow-up to It's because you're an idiot, that's why… from The randomness of tomorrow, today!

It's taking far too long; I've given up and I'm going home.

I should have done this at 2…

It's because you're an idiot, that's why…

Why am I still on campus! It's not as if I met anyone or have done anything; I've just been sitting here waiting for my computer to finish what it was doing, which is taking too bloody long. I should have gone straight home after Crash.
I guess it was because I was feeling a little mopey, so just sat down infront of the computer instead of packing it up and going home.
And now here I am…
I never learn; my laptop is always slow; I should have stopped it, taken it home, and continued there where I could sleep while it pootled away.
Stupid pile of crap, and the laptop's just as bad; but maybe that's just my low self–esteem talking…

Crash again

Crash was fun.

Other non–crash thoughts:

  • Off the top of my head, there is one thing I regret…
  • I have really only one secret, and noone's figured it out yet…

And with that, goodnight.

Space is big. REALLY big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind–bogglingly big it is…

I went to see the new Hitchhiker's film yesterday. It was quite good.

In case you didn't know, this is the story of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, perhaps the most remarkable, certainly the most successful book ever to come out of the great publishing corporations of Ursa Minor. More popular than the Celestial Home Care Omnibus, better selling than 53 More Things to Do in Zero Gravity, and more controversial than Oolon Colluphid's trilogy of philosophical blockbusters: Where God Went Wrong, Some More of God's Greatest Mistakes, and Who Is This God Person, Anyway?

On it's own, it was a good film, but put next to the TV series (yes, I'm sorry, I haven't heard the original Radio version) there were just certain differences that were somewhat… annoying.
I'm pretty sure the persistance of the vogons is new (it may be in the book, I don't know). Also I'm pretty sure Trillian is supposed to be a blonde that's inteligent, not a brunette that acts like a blonde…
And Zaphod spends most of the film with only one of his heads…
And The Book isn't in it enough…
And I'm pretty sure Arthur doesn't "get the girl" at the end of the first book…

But still, as I said, on it's own I think it's quite a good film, there are just annoying differences between it and the TV series.

Ow! My thumb!

Follow-up to Jupiter, the Bringer of Hovis from The randomness of tomorrow, today!

Pushing drawing pins into a stubborn wall doesn't half make your thumb ache…

In case you were wondering (I know you weren't, but I'm going to tell you anyway…) the drawing pins are holding up my latest movie posters. As well as the ones I had up already, I now have The Incredibles, King Arthur, and Layer Cake (forgive me for not doing it properly; my keyboard just doesn't happen to feature a backwards 3).

I'm getting very low on wall space now…

It's a whole new paradigm!

I've always wondered what that meant…

Anyway, recently I've been looking at the examples at CSS Drive and I've decided my website needs a more exciting design. It'll probably happen over the Summer and, since I've been using my blog so much, I think I will abandon my policy of an impersonal personal website and have my blog featuring more prominantly on the new site.

Watch this space! Well actually, watch this space…
