TROTT's Guide to Pets, Chapter 2: Cat Toys

Follow-up to TROTT's Guide to Pets, Chapter 1: Feline Obedience from The randomness of tomorrow, today!

The chances of a cat playing with a toy diminish exponentially with its cost…

Don’t waste money on expensive cat toys, just use scrunched-up balls of paper and bits of string. Even if your cat doesn’t play with them, at least they hardly cost you anything…

conversely the probability of a cat playing with something that isn't a toy increases with the cost of fixing/replacing it afterwards.
BTW cordless mouse, cat and bin by desk-> lost mouse.
