Totally trippin'
We had a lightning storm last night. I tried to take some photos but I only managed lit-up sky; I kept missing the bolts. I was using my camera’s continuous-shooting mode where it remembers the final few photos and hoping that it struck during the 40-frame limit; this only worked once: the first time after I realised my camera could do this, it struck just after the camera stopped, and the only other time there was a bolt during the sequence it took a photo either side of it…
Still, one of the night-time shots is impressive because it actually looks like daytime.
Also the power went off, but we realised it was only the trip switch so it wasn’t off for that long; Uninterpretable Power Supplies for computers are great…
Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, and Dodge

I quite like Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and when I saw Extreme Dodgeball on Challenge on Sky, I thought, “Wow, they really do show dodgeball on telly. I wonder what it’s actually like…”
It was one of the weirdest things I’ve seen on TV for quite some time. Mainly because it was so close to the movie; the arena was just as extravagant and American, the teams were just as bizarre (one of them are mimes!), even the presenters are similar (although in the real one they’re both quite sensible). The only disappointing thing is that the umpire isn’t as extravagant (with the ridiculous arm gestures) as in the film…
Try and catch one if you can; it’s just bizarre…
