Skateboarding, or How To Break Your Neck In A Variety Of Crowd Pleasing Ways

I don't really have anything to say; I was just passing Senate House, heard the clunk-clunk-clunk of the wheels, and thought of the title. Perhaps thinking of an entry to go with it would have been useful…
Personally I don't see the point of skateboarding, especially behind Senate House; all they can do there is jump down the steps (even I can do that, and without the aid of a wheeled plank, and I'm probably less likely to injure myself). Fair enough if they have half–pipes and railings to slide along, but just jumping down steps doesn't seem that impressive to me.
Still, it keeps them off the streets…
