well – get up in time – have breakfast – pack my hockey stuff – pack food and lunch – get directions to West Bromich – walk to the sports centre – pick up minibus – drive to The Bar – park – go in – noone there.

two minutes of head scratching later – another player turns up – and eventually after ringing two other people we find the match has been cancelled due to a frozen pitch.

Sooo – take the minibus back – and then have to face the prospect today of Actually doing some work. Wanted to play for the 3rd team, but since our match and the 1s were cancelled – 3rd team captain has 40 players wanting to play for him – though it is a top-of-the-league 6 pointer match. Went to watch the match (sooo cold) and actually only had 13 players in the end – so could have played
