Mutley must go!

Writing about web page http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2487186196&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Mutley being the orange BMW R80 that once belonged to Jim. That's right, the one that jetisoned it's exhaust pipe at 80mph on the road to Cornwall.

Mad Roger did a superb job of the engine rebuild. It had stood for the last 6 weeks in the car park of Leamington Railway Station. I started it first time, and it then ran perfectly for the 7 mile home.

You could have this magnificient machine for only 50p. Yes, that's right, you could own this piece of Moosebikes history for practically nothing.

Place your bids now on ebay.

You know it's what you want!

..half a day and 17 bids later, its now up to £230. That's half of what I paid for it a year ago.

'Room must be made for something else' – sounds like a plan is forming!

Yes, the plan is this. CW Motorcycles, the current location of my Paris-Dakar, fix the minor crash damage and mount a new set of Tesch expedition panniers. I retrieve the bike from Dorset, and temporarily store it in the garage, in the place currently occupied by Mutley, prior to finding some new adventure to take it on.

Hooray! Mutley has gone to a good home. Nigel and his mate arrived in a Chevy pickup and took him away after handing me £300 in cash. No messing about. Better still they are BMW boxer enthusiasts, so will treat him well.
