Can the Premiership title be decided this weekend?

Pretty unlikely, but certainly Manchester United and Chelsea can swing things a long way in their favour if they both get wins. John Terry says he can understand why we are talking about a potential two horse race, but what do people think? If Liverpool and Arsenal both lose are they out of the title hunt. Will either be able to spring a surprise and if so who? Will United miss the highly influencial Ryan Giggs? Will Arsenal miss Henry? Any one want to make some predictions? I’m going to go 2-0 to United and 3-1 to Chelsea.

  1. I think Liverpool might just scrape a draw against Chelsea, I’ll go for 2-2. United will probably beat Arsenal on current form, I’d agree with 2-0.

  2. If Arsenal lose this weekend, then their title chances are – as far as I’m concerned – over. Some would say it’s over already. I happen to think it’ll be a score draw though – 2-2 or a gripping 3-3. But Man Utd could struggle on the left-wing now, with both Giggs and Park out. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone edges it 3-2.

Liverpool v Chelsea is an even harder one to predict – it could well be low-scoring, but could prove to be a surprise. I’ll go with 2-1 to Chelski.

  3. as his holiness Jeff Stelling said, the title can’t be won in september but it can certainly be lost. i think that both games will be drawn tomorrow, man united having a perfect start to the season, arsenal not even having a win yet spells a draw to me. chelsea liverpool will probably be 0-0 again

  4. Hmm… I was wrong then. United were shite by the sound of it.

  5. Yeah, Rooney was strangely out of sorts. Would probably have been a more convincing Arsenal win had Henry been playing.
