Hey guys,
Check out the Sheffield’s review of the upcoming Athletics World Championships…would have put it on the blog but due to technical difficulties here it is in all its original glory!

I think Sheffield has completely overlooked Andy Baddeley and Jenny Meadows. Baddeley in is very good form and I reckon he will be at least top 8, if not close to the medals. Meadows, on the other hand, is one angry bunny, and I reckon she will beat both her teammates.
In other predictions, Gay to do the sprint double, and we’ll pick up two medals – the men’s sprint relay and one out of the two heptathletes. Oh, and two failed drugs tests, one of which will be a Soviet thrower.

It’s a shame Dean Macey isn’t competing in the decathlon – I’d make him a strong bet for a medal.

Macey would certainly be a good bet for giving the most entertaining interview.
As Baddeley, I agree he does have a chance of a medal as the 1,500m is generally a bit of a lottery as noone really wants to take up the pace. If the final is slow enough and he’s in the mix at the end – there’s a chance but I reckon there are too many other good athletes to let this happen.

Dean Macey always seem to be injured!! What is his injury this time? There must be a problem with his training schedule for him to miss so many big meets. We all want to see him there competing but is he still up for it. The mens team need a lift he could have provided it and also we need him to enthuse youngsters.
