Lecturers' Strike: Breaking News

BBC News is reporting that the UCU (formerly AUT and NAFTHE) have made a pay deal with Universities, and have called an end to their 'action short of a strike'.

  • Lecturers will resume marking exams from midnight tonight
  • UCU accepted new offer, but still at 13.1%
  • Lower–paid workers will get nearer 15%
Sally Hunt: "We would also like to thank the National Union of Students and students around the country for their support at such a crucial time. We will be working to ensure the disruption is kept to a minimum and that students will be graduating on time."
