toast to victory

Writing about web page http://janeducidre.photosite.com/~photos/tn/38_1024.ts1084038412000.jpg

a toast to certain victory
i raise my mug high:
while it is a world cuppa
it will still apply
when arsenal's victory supper
appears by and by

toast to victory

to the doubters/haters. (you don't get rhyme)
while you may support
a jealous manchester team
(just for example)
it would be more sensible
just to side with fate

some borrowed triumph

negative. jose mari's beautiful smile
lurking cunningly
in search of soft penalties
softer than seaweed
gently shed by submarines
that dive seabed wise

that, mr anderson, is the look of inevitability

arsenal. jens lehman's beautiful voice
after the hi-fives
i can still assert cooly
that it is no use
– parts fall inevitably
that's what fate looks like

shouting about who was next in queue

Follow-up to metaphor for essay progress from Rashomon Imperative

subtext
like the smallest stones
indicating a landslide
so my first foray
of eight hundred brand new words
will be followed fast

i reckon the brains are right about here...

night of the living fred
our desire for brains
grows mathematically
exponentially
and soon, inevitably
they will appear here

metaphor for essay progress

explanatory. representational
with time running out
the drama shall be captured
metaphorically
as we watch philosophers
lapping the lapin

brains please

stage one
haply at present
while we greatly desire brains
we are only just
scratching the golden surface:
efforts – redouble!

denigrate obtuse and active verbs pronouns

i take a sneaky glance into my "futuroscope". we seeng theez chaunt
this summer we'll jaunt
over sea: for not france nor
barcelona daunt
our fearless strutting gallore
which we can't but flaunt

the french and the catalan. fratalan/crench

barcapartament. cathedral
sun illumes absence
no phone in our apartment
the star of the sea
graceful from a different age
tangibly distal

windmilling. spilling
aquarium air
sits placidly weightless
as we run carefree
windmilling through leafs
in rustling bow waves

the hours we are separate is just precious time we've wasted

Essay, this week i'll kick you in the head (and then go back to bed)

up!
into the abyss
jump borrowed from jackie chan
nothing is amiss
(i have a greater legspan
and deadlier kiss)

off the fence

down!
a weighty descent
with my toe seeking the crux
where the most content
can be kicked to its debut
with the least torment

in the same place you soared i keep resurrecting

ode to the shower. cat under a hot tin roof
writhing round slowly
with uncertain contortions
twisting underneath
the adventurously hot
relentless nozzle

now clean, i can blog
some enthusiasm
for birthday celebrations
was demonstrated

though my hot muse disappeared
we will meet again

my mug

now blogged, i can drink
some self-consciousness
served with a slice of lemon
reading the paper
although secretly musing
while cupping as shown

my mug, the mug, his mug?

now drinking, i cease thinking. (i can feel the soil falling!)
paper distractions
avert my eye: likewise my "i"
quickly disappears
vapourized by hot water
waltzing with my muse

fukayama wagamama

a merry day in london was spent. but first...
o olaf priol
i'm no wooly liberal
but i still may yet
be gullible and sheep-like
for some angry hours

"un, deux, awhawheehaw!!" How embarrassing!

and, in fact, second
texting angrily
"an unholy alliance!"
"wind generator!"
now imagine my chagrin!
hook, line, sinker too

finally the day can begin. pink clouds of embarrassment disperse
a london day out
surely needs fukayama
at a conference?
but only wagamama
was available

fourthly, crucible
wax theatrical
though not feelgood – but gielgud!
to the crucible
untouched and virgin for me
most unculturedly

fifthly, opinionatedly
shouting a slogan
"god is dead" – calling to arms
those who would oppose
inevitability
eventually

hey ho, they love the way i do it, hey ho, there's really nothing to it

he sits and waits

absinthesis! - a self-reflexive pun. worse than an injoke
i fear i am not
quite yet a bohemian:
i cook my own food
i wash myself and my clothes
should i try absinthe?

purple abstinence
though i lay me down
with flowers strewn on my shirt
with my lips purple
stained; not of course from purple
i'm not one of those

i have related, but i also distinguish
neither could i be
gravel-voiced and grazely-chinned
evoking streetsides
grounded lowly, with tom waits,
a hobonian

the greatest minds are capable of the greatest vices as well as of the greatest virtues

Follow-up to a cream cracker under the settee from Rashomon Imperative

i muscht be dreaming
"would you like to go
dancing cogitoe to toe?
many things i know
many more than that rousseau
that i'd like to show.."

beware this heart of gold. this heart is cold
"why, you're hardly shy
and would make a grand ally
but your heart does lie
in st germain de prés [sigh]
so no des, nice try"
