Today while lay in Victoria's room (she does Classics, I do psycho… both keen student types) and quoting Alan Partridge we decided to be a bit creative!
After finding a pencilcase with Highlighters in and paper from her printer putting a big sign in the window saying A-HA! in honour of our socially inept God seemed a great idea (and we were sober… totally!)
However, it was not quite as simple as imagined. After a short debate as to which way round we had to put it so it could be read outside, we finally worked it out.
PROBLEM 1 - We left the building only to find that you couldnt see the letters… never draw them in highlighter pen… its not viewable 10ft up!
SOLUTION - set out for a black marker to outline with…
RESULT - SPICEWORLD – looking good
PROBLEM 2 - Advertisement!
Noone is noticing it due to it being 2stories up, so any Alan Partridge fans, come past Benefactors, and in the middle window, near the Gibbet Hill Crossings, is our tribute to Radio Norwich's number one DJ…and presenter of military based gameshow "Skirmish" on local cable channel UK-Conquest.. Alan Partridge
Further proof he has bounced back!
Give us all your most crazy passing salutes and A-Haaaaaas! And altho many passers by will think you a freak… needless to say you will have the last laff!

This weeks challenge…
by the end of Top Banana on Monday 24th I had to have pulled a guy… A strange challenge to be set, but i was game. After camping myself up to the max (dogtags, pink t-shirt, ripped jeans, sweatbands and straightening my hair) i headed to Top B.
It started off well… several camp looking guys on the dancefloor, got to be one of them game for a laugh! Slowly but surely b.fs came n the numbers reduced… until i was left dancing with one of the hottest ones. Sure we werent close n proper dancing but it was a start. Eye contact was made but it didnt seem to be going anywhere… seems i wasnt looking quite fabulous enough.
Fortunately i had a back-up plan and by the end of the night it all paid off. Having bumped into a gay guy previous, i met him again on the dancefloor… we pulled, tongue as well i may add!!! (well im dedicated to my work)... and after about 5secs we split and said goodbye, much to the disgust of my on-looking christian friend… you may know her from Gadjets Workshop.
A return to Benefactors to find everyone had bet against me pulling (excuse the punn) it off. A big smile beamed across my face as i admitted i had managed it, and with Jill as a witness i was congratulated, and Rachel, the only girl to bet on me actually doing it was a very happy girl, collecting a whole 60p from other housemates for her troubles.
One Challenge Down… back of the net
… im up for suggestions for this weeks challenge…

Just a quick aside note… sometimes i do venture outside of the West Brom bubble which engulfs my football life, make my way to St. James' Park, and watch the mighty Exeter City.
For a small conference club averaging gates of around 4000 fans they sure have some exciting times! Earlier in the season we played Brazil in a friendly, celebrating Exeter's visit to Brazil 100 years ago and playing them in there first ever professional match. Oh how time has taken its toll.
The latest addition to the Exeter City fairytale was the 3rd round cup draw… following an excellent 2–1 away victory at up and coming League 2 side Doncaster Rovers, Exeter fulfilled the wildest dreams drawing Manchester United at Old Trafford… with Exeter just leaving the financial trouble that was the money spinner that tyhe small southern side needed to finally put the administrators well and truely out of the picture!
Noone had exepcted the Grecians to pull of any kind of cup shock, and with odds of 25–1 being quoted… it was only in the realms of fantasy that a City win would really happen!
But a gritty performance saw them draw 0–0… total congratulations to the players and especially new gaffer Alex Inglethorpe, who has been a revolution guiding the team back into the top 3 after a start which looked to put Exeter in danger of a relegation tussel!
A reply is on the cards, and who would begrudge them a win and a ticket to round 4… I know I want to see them win, but i think Sir Alex may have a different view!
OH YEAH… they are owned by Uri Gellar, and consist of a board of his son, Micheal Jackson and Darth Vader…. but thats another story?!
Up for the cup? It seems West Brom are moreso than me… due to oversleeping… bloody Soul Nation – i missed my mate offering me a ticket to Preston, provided i cud get up there n meet him by Deepdale! typical but nothing can dampen my spirits, West Brom won for the first time in 14games, and Bryan Robson's first win as gaffer! – God how we've waited for that!
It was an affair which many had expected Preston to come out of on top. West Brom looking shambolic of late, and Preston having won their last 4 in a row in the league… a cup scalp would be ideal to keep up the momentum.
Robson had claimed the cup wasnt a distraction (despite his middlesbrough side being relegated the year they made it to two cup finals :S (lost em both to!)) and played what would be his strongest team!
Although a biased fan I can honestly admit that West Brom dominated from start to finish, and although it took time to come, Earnies late brace sunk was deserved.
Earnshaw however today was probably West Brom's worst team player looking lost and devoid of ideas, but like all good strikers he can come up with the goods… He may not bring a lot to the team, but bloody hell he can finish! His first an absolute thunderbolt which swerved inside the inside post, and his second an audacious lob over Longeran direct from Hoult's long kick… Route one... back of the net!
Man Of The Match… *ZOLTAN GERA!* – Enjoy him while you can Baggies, the Hungarian SUPERSTAR will not be in the famous blue and white for much longer im afraid!
HOWEVER the voice of reason…. This was a cup match, it contributed nothing to our survival bid… however confidence is higher, weve conceeded 2 in our last 4, are unbeaten in 4 and are slowly starting to look like we can score…
Bring on Fulham and hopefully 3 points next saturday!
There were also a few "Bryan Robson's Barmy Army" chants at the match… steady on… hes still a fool!
