As a polar bear, I am interested in many polar regions around the world – none more so than the far northeastern Russian autonomous region of Chukotka. Summers here are very short and cool. It has native settlers related to American Indians called Chukchi. But this is not why it is 'a special one'.
It is governed by one of my favourite egomaniacs, Roman Arkad'evich Abramovich, an oil magnate incidentally who owns an English football club called Chelsea. The state of the pitch at Stamford Bridge may seem rather green compared to this piece of tundra.
