This summer (4th – 9th September (Is that still summer?)) Warwick University is running a Summer School for postgraduates and young researchers on Mathematics for Biomedical Engineering.
The course is will help you in developing the understanding and practical experience of "mathematically describing problems encountered in Biomedical Engineering."
In the words of Charlotte Heatherington from the Forum for Science and Technology in Medicine:
The summer school will be lead by experts in the field of mathematical modelling of biomedical systems and will consist of a combination of plenary sessions and group tutorial seesions. Students will also have the opprtunity to use computer based modelling software as part of the tutorial sessions. There are three major topic areas covered: cardio-respiratory modelling, compartmental modelling and drug taretting, and biomechanical modelling. The week week ends with group problem solving exercises which will be presented to the other students and faculty.
More information at the link above, including who will be speaking, schedules, costs and how to register.
