Is the Intellectual an Endangered Species?

What does it mean to be an Intellectual?

Why not come along to this free debate and find out?

An intellectual is a 'trailblazer' someone who has dedicated his/her life to an area of study and is consistently finding ways to break the limitations of the field. An intellectual is passionate about improving the quality of human existence. The developing world is plagued by mismanagement, corruption and the unfair distribution of resources. I have seen many intellectuals get swallowed whole into this twisted system. An intellectual does not justify and epitomise the status quo but constantly seeks to challenge it.
