I have had a request for information about studying Law at a postgraduate level at Warwick Uni. Below are some useful information sources about Law here, plus some info about International Study, as our enquirer was from overseas:
From the Warwick Law School website:
Ever since its founding in the 1960s, the Law School has had a strong commitment to the study of law in its widest international context. This commitment has been reflected especially in our postgraduate programmes. Our first taught postgraduate degree was the LLM Law in Development. We subsequently introduced a second LLM programme in International Economic Law, to reflect the growing significance of international and regional institutions and legal regulation in governing the world economy. With both of these degrees, Warwick was at the forefront of understanding law at a global level, even before the term ‘globalisation’ became so popular.
A new Masters in International Development Law and Human Rights is being introduced in 2005/06
Alternatively there are options for Research Degrees in Law
Admissions information is available from the department, or alternatively take a look at the postgraduate directory.
The International Office has information about studying at Warwick for International students, as well as a range of funding and scholarship options.
As a slight aside, you might like to read about Professor Shaheen Ali, the first female Pakistani to become a professor of law in the UK
