Deleted comments

For the record, I delete comments placed by advertisers. There appears to be a growing trend in blogs to have people actively place comments which, on the surface, appear to engage with the subject manner, but are placed solely to link to advertising matter via a url embedded in the commenter name.

I'm not prepared to allow this blog to be used as a platform for irrelevant advertising activity. If these advertisers are genuinely interested in engaging with the subject material, please use an unlinked commenter name, otherwise the comment will be instantly removed.

Obviously, people linking to their own blogs or related websites is absolutely fine.

The Bardathon is his experimental review blog, covering productions of (or based on) all early modern plays. The aim is to combine immediate reactions with the detail and analysis of the academic review.

Theatre criticism always needs more voices. Please comment with your own views and contributions!
