So This Is It

So I have decided to write a blog concerning my trials and errors during my PGCE year, I'm actually about 2 weeks away from starting... however, I will be in school next Monday to start a week of observations.

So far everything seems to have hit me like a tidal wave and if anyone is doing their pre-course reading i assume they know what I'm talking about. The question of which particular line of attack to take first; is my subject knowledge up to scratch and will I need to update it more so, or is it advisable to focus on teaching theory? It seems that getting to know all of your resources before even attempting to get stuck in is the best way forward.

I decided to start writing this blog as a matter of necessity... lets put it bluntly, I really lag behind when it comes to organisation and I would like to see if this year can sharpen me up a bit, also it's my first serious blog and I would like to think that at the end of the year I can look back and reflect on the entirity of the course not only drawing strength from it but also putting it out there for others to comment on and maybe shed some light onto what I'm banging on about. 

So here goes, a new year and a new academic challenge awaits.
