Sto Pro Was OK

Stochastic Processes exam was alright! I wish I did more stats modules! Plus the women on the MORSE course are way better looking! Sorry maths chicks but it just is true!

In other news progress in the gym is still going well. I'm looking forward to the 12.5km 50 minute row on Sunday. I plan to go out for a long run 2moro to prepare for it!

Also I've decided I hate the all computers in the Maths building. Mandrake is shit because I can't be bothered to learn how to use it and the windows computers are shit because they won't save any of my personal settings (and they are windows). If anyone can tell me how to get that working please tell me.

And finally what is wrong with Groupwise! I like it! I'm sure someone has come up with a good reason for getting rid of it but whatever it is they are wrong.

Alegbra II Exam and More Stuff

First of all, yesterday's Algebra II exam didn't go too badly! Question 5 was an easy JNF question so that will be 25 marks straight away. Question 1 wasn't so bad either so I reckon I will have scored between 15 and 20 marks there. I also attempted question 2. Not so easy but I think I got the right idea. Depending on the marker's generosity, if will have scored between 12 and 15 for that. I also attempted question 3. I was only able to get the first 2 parts out so I will have scored between 8 and 10 marks for that. In total I will have somewhere between 60% and 70% for the paper and with a little boost from assessed work and Professor Seymour’s percentage, I will have scraped a high 2.1 or a first, so good news!

Today started with a trip to the gym. Good progress on the bench press today at last! I spent the morning revising for the Stochastic Processes exam 2moro and then went to Pizza Hut in Cov for an 'all you can eat' buffet lunch. Had a look around the shops afterwards, bought a shirt! Went back home and had dinner then this evening I have been back in Maths revising!

Last Minute Algebra II Revision

Feeling quietly confident for 2moros Algebra II exam. But after Algebra I, I know that means nothing. Hoping for a straight foward JNF question and a question on the ring of differential operators. The proof of the Isomorphism Theorem runs very much like the proof for groups, so if we are asked to prove that I'll be loving it.

Today's News

Yeah so after a discussion with a group of friends this afternoon, I have decided to get my blog started up again!

So what did I do 2day?

First of all, I went to the gym. Good progress on the rowing front. Managed to do the 10km row in under 40 minutes. Infact actually did it in 39:32.6.

Then I went home for lunch. Kempez cooked up an awesome stir-fry feast. Watched the Grand Prix! Awesome ending although lets face it the rules and regulations this season completely suck and F1 is dead!

And now have just come back from coffee with Bea, where I met some of her lovely friends. Also Bea if you are reading this you really should give up smoking!

Now I plan to cook dinner (Curry), settle accounts with housemates and then may head down to maths for a little stochastic processes revision.

Nationality of Lecturer

Writing about web page http://www.maths.warwick.ac.uk/staff/gelf.html

So in differentiation 2day we were having a debate over the nationality of Dr. Vassili Gelfreich. There were many suggestions. Amongst them were Austrian, Hungarian and Swiss. Does anyone know for sure?

I really should warm down!

Good evening all! I have had another fantastic day of physical activity! I am completely shattered!

Pre-season rugby training was even harder today. It was really intense. My legs were pretty much dead before the session and now they are six feet under! Sitting down is a complete no no because I don't think I would be able to get back up again and even walking is uncomfortable.

I blame myself however. I'm lazy and I never take the time to warm down properly if at all. When I was younger I had no need to. I could run for hours and not strain a thing. I'm only 20 on Tuesday and already I feel I'm turning into an old man. When I'm 50 someone please shoot me because I'll be useless!

Oh well, I did Lazerquest this evening. Good fun. Weights and swimming planned for 2moro's session. Oh dear!

Good night!

Editing Blogs with HTML

For those with a knowledge of basic HTML, I have noticed that HTML tags can be used in blog entries to improve the apperence of the blog.
For instance you can use the TABLE tag to align pictures better. I'm interested in the limits of this. How far can people go with this idea? Please let me know
