Too Much Work
How come Warwick Freshers week has to be full of work! It was the same last year, its so disappointing, I look forward to coming back to uni and seeing friends but it gets destroyed by lecturers giving us heaps of work in the first week! Ok, I know I am back at uni and I am here to work but for christ sake, at least give us some time for fun! Every other uni does. I've just spent 12 hours today doing work, its not fair! grrrr!
p.s. i'm not usually this grumpy!

I am a mature 2+2 student with a mature slow working brain this is may first time at warwick. Lost,and hungery missing my mother have no friends have to much work do not knowing were to go. As the song says please help me I am falling.

Seminar too short! George Ritzer was right, it (university life today) can be a dehumanising experience, particularly if you were not in on the outset of the .com revolution. Communication by computor may be the future (or the present), but we are talking to machines instead of real people, little human interaction, are we contributing to our own alienation from each other?
