Sunday ends a Good Weekend

Sunday morning, 4.55am, my alarm goes off. The first words that sprung into my mind were “re-run”. My intention was to watch the Japanese GP live, so I quickly overcame fatigue and joined the rest of my mates in the kitchen. Our breakfast club consisted of me, Paul, Sachit and Will. And the race was quite an enjoyable one, with luck favouring Alonso! After the race ended at 8am, I went back to bed!

Midway through the race at 7am, as the world got lighter and lighter the sky had a great red glow in it. I took my camera out and shot a few RAW photos trying to do it justice before it all ended by 7.05am. With hindsight I should have secured my tripod outside on solid land, instead of on the first floor window sill (hey I was still in my PJ’s and gown) and taken 2 shots, one exposed for land, and one for sky and then stiched them together in Photoshop.

The library has TWO sections???

Follow-up to There are more than 3 floors in the library? from nathanielho :: blog

Following up yesterday's fantastic discovery that is the library, today was the first time I went to the section across the bridge. Wow they have books there too! Unfortunately, hay fever has kicked in a bit earlier this year – I guess 3 days spent rolling about on the grass hasn't helped.

There are more than 3 floors in the library?

News to me.
Today was the first time that I ever went higher than the 2nd floor on the library! I didn't know there was a 5th floor! I've never borrowed a book either! (I'm an engineer). First time for everything I guess. You might just see me holding a book next time I'm in there.

On another note, the historians/politicians were having seminars on the grassy knoll outside the BP Archive centre in the late afternoon sun, with beers! What are they like!? (Did someone shout Lib Dem?)

Oh, and I've forgot to vote. I can either postal vote for a place I don't live anymore (Stanmore, Middlesex) or vote in the local Tile Hill church, Coventry – a place I won't live in anymore after this term. This gives me the power to screw over one of these areas, and do a runner.
