I don’t think anybody’s done any productive work in the past weeks. The plan I think for all of us were to work hard getting assignments/dissertations done ASAP so we could move on to revision. Frankly we’re all thinking about work, not doing it and working unproductively. That is in fact worse than if we were just solely relaxing.
My “Shutdown Day” was relatively boring, no more boring that any other day so far in the holiday. I didn’t actually devote myself to the TV as I had anticipated. I dug out some CDs (! yes remember those?) and I said I wouldn’t use my phone but I did use it on flight mode (offline) to listen to music and audiobooks.
Sunday was the day I had set aside to do the lab report. Instead I got up late. Watched the MotoGP timeshifted (uneventful but funny antics at the end), and proceeded to spend the rest of the afternoon chatting to JJ and browsing YouTube. The only thing formulated was a plan on making a trip to the Nurburgring. My highlight so far was probably getting Casino Royale on DVD yesterday. Today I became the first person in history to call up Vodafone and ask them to remove Stop the Clock on my account. Crazy but I have my reasons.
