3000 blogs!
Writing about web page http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/laurapowell/
We finally hit 3000 blogs last night. I'll not go through the disclaimers about how many of them are or are not active…it's a great number either way.
Congrats to Laura for being number 3000.

Think about it though, we're uber-bloggers now then in the new world order of blog-world we'll be… I dunno… minor dieties or MPs or something!

Anyone know how many members of the Uni there are? – and hence what proportion of them have blogs?

I think its about 10,000 full time plus 5,000 part-time/others in terms of students. However as staff can have blogs too you can probabky add at least another 5,000 on top ?
giving near 20,000 possible bloggers?
Wild estimate from me.

You're pretty much dead on Dan, 20000 looks about right. So, 1 in 10 Warwick'ites have posted to a Warwick blog at some point (2000 people have actually used their blogs).
However, I think 9000 distinct Warwick users have visited Warwick Blogs at some point, 45% is pretty good as far as awareness goes.

Although 20000 blog entries – 3000 blogs, that less than 7 entries per blog. That's not many.
