Tick tock goes the death clock

There's a stopwatch inside of you,
timing everything you do,

you'll be staring at death's door,

The King's Blues

Watch the crimson king, he rules but he steals
can't explain what he sees, only what he feels
this is no real reflection, or is it

Cupping his hand, what's inside oh the wonder
jealous of his life, trapped between and under
could it be true, it could, if it were you

No defence, no pretence, no sense
of illusion,
once sent, one dent, what he meant,
such confusion

I guess he's happy, guess he's content
no use to me, i said i don't know what he meant
no time to justify, to laugh is to cry

demons exorcised, all his troubles gone
now torment is over, no more on and on and on
time's passed him by, time to live; time to die

His defence, his pretence, his sense of illusion
Now sent, forget the dent, gone the confusion
enter the blue
