Pickles in Passion Plea
In an exclusive interview with Stallions World, David Pickles called upon the supporters to get behind the team for the whole hour of their crucial cup match against Atletico Cryfield.
"By and large, the fans have been marvelous this season, but there are a certain few who are in what I like to call the anti pie and beer brigade, who haven't been getting behind the team. It's all well and good sitting quietly and clapping in your director's box, but when you're down on the terrace, you've got to be vocal. In a game like this, the crowd can act as a 6th man, and that is what we want- a one man advantage.."

Comments from the Manager
Bloody typical, you wait for a year and a half, and the first time we win I'm relegated to the dugout!!! I suppose at least I could concentrate on the tactical side of the game, which was responsible to the lead up to Mark's goal (although I suppose I should give him some credit for it).
Overall, it was a bloody fantastic game, and will stay in the fan's memories for a long time to come (and if it doesn't the DVD is out on Monday, with a 5 hour commentary by Hadris).
Friday's game is a very important game for the Stallions, looking to increase on their longest ever winning streak, by a whole 100%, and as usual the lads are up and raring to go. Stallion's veteran striker Stephen Pond, or Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeve as can heard from the crowd, has been on top form lately, and I expect great things from him for the rest of the season. Obvoiusly there has been a fair amount of interest, but as I said in the local papers, he's an indispensible player, and you can't put a price on that. Although I would be tempted if the offer is right…
In other news, I have been in negotiation talks with Christopher over a new contract. If all goes well, he should sign a new deal that will keep him at the Stallions until June 2005.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow
Come on you Stallions!
