Traffic Trails
Camera: Fuji FinePix S602z
Date: 11th January 2006
Location: The roundabout by Hurst/Redfern/Cryfield
Shutter: 4s
Aperture: F/8
ISO: 160
Comments: The high f-stop was to allow a long enough shutter to capture the trails caused by the lights of the cars, but also happily gave me a great depth of field over the scene!
Post-processing: Cropped top and bottom
I tried to post a comment a minute ago so sorry if this shows up twice. Stupid Warwick IT systems.
I've enjoyed reading your blog and as a fellow photographer, I reckon you've posted some awesome and inspiring shots. I tried the light trails trick last night too, strangely enough. I'm impressed with the roundabout idea, it's genius; although the tree is in the way slightly. I'm left wondering how mucm more effective the picture would be from a higher view point and a longer exposure, something to try!
I also note you're a fellow Fuji user. Most of the photos on my blog are taken with my Fuji S5000. I've recently got the Fuji S9500, so can't wait to try play with it a bit more than I have. From what I've seen the S602z is a great camera.
Anyway, just thought I'd say 'hi'. Keep snapping :)

Nice pic, again, although I agree with the above that the silhouetted tree is a bit too distracting. I'm also not a big fan of that roundabout itself… (link – d'oh)
