you should sell this to the people who make posters for like the science museum and whatnot. It’d sell.

Wow, Nath! That is absolutely astounding. If I had a computer that functioned I would put this picture as a desktop. Alas, I have managed to kill my laptop. Another one. xx

I love your pictures, Nathan. I had no idea there was a lunar eclipse recently, the next one is on 28th August. The last time there was a solar eclipse in this country in 1999 I was on a beach in Cornwall and there was such an amazing atmosphere that when the moment came everyone gasped and joined hands spontaneously, it is a moment that will stay with me forever….people were just bound together by the wonder of it all. I am still in touch with the family who were next to us on the beach on that day – they follow eclipses wherever they go in the world and let me know about them. It was such a momentous occasion.

Excellent photo mate. I had completely forgotten about your blog since I lost all the settings in my RSS reader. I’ve now got something to do today, I can go back throught all the photos up to where I last viewed. :)

Nice work – I used a more expensive camera and lens and got worse results – in fact so bad I’m not even going to point anyone to them.
RE: Sue’s comment about the 1999 eclipse in Cornwall – wasn’t that a solar eclipse? If it was the one I’m thinking of it was about the worst weather of the year. The highlight was looking across Mounts Bay and seeing 100s of camera flashes going off 10 miles away. What were they taking pictures of?!!

Yes, I was talking about the solar eclipse in 1999 and there were lots of flashes, I think people simply felt compelled to take photos because it seemed like such a momentous occasion at the time, I didn’t get any great ones but then I have a reputation for bad photography – cut-off heads is my speciality.
I’ve never liked Cornwall, although I have relatives who live in Penryn so do visit sometimes to see them. But I find it rather a desolate place…no offence to you and your name, Chris :=)
