    We (me and Helen!) named the ducks in our first year in Arthur Vick. This one's Dorothy, usually to be found with Derek and David. :o)

  4. In Lakeside, there were too many ducks and geese, so we named the Swans. We called one "Mable" but she turned out Mable was a man-swan, so we renamed him Marbles. The swans were vicious beasts pecking for hours at our kitchen windows, terrorising for months on end.
