Muse – Knights of Cydonia Video
Muse have announced that their epic album-closing space-rock cowboy-fest ear-fisting smash Knights of Cydonia on November 27th. Not only is it my favourite Muse song ever, but definitely the funniest Muse video by a long way… Yes, in the uncut version there are boobies. And yes, it is awesome.

Great song (but then, I like everything MUSE has done). The video is, appropriately, as tongue-in-cheek as you can get and loaded with movie parodies.

Indeed, there is even a contest to see how many of the 15 movie references you can find. I got… 1 (the very obvious cantina band reference) but my knowledge of films suck

There was definitely more than one Star Wars reference, but how you missed the Matrix one I don’t know. I’m stuck on two though :-(

I think they might include High Noon (1952), The Good the Bad and the Ugly (1966), and North by Northwest (1959).
btw, in a shameless plug for a recent posting on my own blog, what do people think of the classical music “pop video” by Simon Keenlyside (part of Orff’s Carmina Burana)? I think it works. (It’s here)
