i am irritated by people who use the word 'random' when they mean a stranger. Even worse is 'randoms' when  they mean strangers. I like the evolution of language. But that is stupid. And it implies some crazy eccentricity in having anything to do with people you dont know. Theyre not random you just dont know them. That is all.

  1. I don’t agree with the use of ‘random’ to describe a quality in certain to people who attempt to funny by talking about monkeys and cheese and supercheesemonkeys(!), because I feel that we already have several words for people like that, such as ‘cunt’, ‘twat’ and my personal favourite ‘pissant’.

I am not so bothered about referring to strangers as randoms. I don’t see the implied eccentricity. I always saw it more in the way that since you don’t know the stranger, they are an unknown, or random, variable.
