The Rrrs on Myspace Opens a New World

Writing about web page

the RrrsAs a devoted Rrrs fan from the early hours I was browsing the web for further stuff, songs, webpages and news some time ago.

The Rrrs are a feel-good act-weird extravaganza act from Leamington Spa/Uni of Warwick who are gradually building up a reputation among students and within the local indie scene. Sharliza R’s sexed-up appearance on the Battle of the Bands Finals last week was wild enough for the judges to proclaim her “front(wo)man of the night”. Their live shows are mad, you should all go and see them some time.

Anyway, I came across their Mypage site, and discovered all whole community of Uni of Warwick/local bands. These bands conveniently added each other as friends which makes browsing through worlds of exciting indie very easy now. As soon as you hit the page, their tunes start to play, what more would you want? I particularly liked the unsurprising list of cool student bands that are well on the way to be picked up by a wider audience with good taste: the Postwar Years, the So You Claims, the Carter Manoeuvre, A Day Remains, and, of course, the Rrrs, whose link I added here.
