The Secretary of State for Health, Patricia Hewitt is to launch a new NHS Electronic Library for Ethnicity and Health at Portcullis House in Westminster on Monday 23rd of October – but this will be a library in which the gaps in knowledge are almost as important as its content.
The web-based library, created by researchers at Warwick Medical School at the University of Warwick and De Montfort University in Leicester, will provide the first such resource in Europe. It will bring together quality assured research from around the world to help professionals and the public access the very best available medical evidence relevant to minority ethnic groups & cultures.
