Guardian ranks University of Warwick 4th in the UK

The UK’s Guardian Newspaper has today, Tuesday 12th May, ranked the University of Warwick as the top University on the Midlands and 4th overall in the UK.


Research says older people need more sun

Spending more time in the sunshine could help older people to reduce their risk of developing heart disease and diabetes.

Exposure to sunlight stimulates vitamin D in the skin and older people are more likely to have a vitamin D deficiency due to the natural aging process and changes in lifestyle.


Honorary Degrees for Pensions Campaigner, World Trade Director and Theatre Critic

The University of Warwick has announced that it is to award 15 Honorary degrees during its Summer degree ceremonies on 14th- 17th July. They include awards to pensions campaigner Rodney Bickerstaffe, Leamington born theatre critic Michael Billington, and Pascal Lamy Director-General of the World Trade Organisation. Short biographies of each of the people who will receive a Warwick Honorary degree with details on their degree follow below. Dates and times of press opportunities during the ceremonies will follow in July.
